Welcome to our pub - proudly independent, family-run, and at the heart of the Sawbridgeworth community. As a freehold establishment, we've built out reputation on doing things our own way - focusing on quality, consistency and creating a wam, welcoming space for everyone who walks through the doors. For over 25 years, this pub has been part of a family, growing alongside the village. In 2024, a new chapter began as the next generation took over ownership, bringing fresh energy while staying true to everything that makes this pub special. Following a recent refurbishment, we've carefully updated the space to offer a more modern, comfortable setting - without losing the character and charm that people know and love. 

      Our menu reflects this same approach - bringing a sophisticated gastropub experience to the village. We focus on high quality ingredients, carefully crafted dishes and a balance of classic favourites with modern flair. 

     We're also proud to be a hub for live sport, showing all major events and football leagues across multiple large screens.
